Our interpreting service is centred on a series of essential principles that focus on the belief that everyone has the right to speak and hear for themselves as well as freely express their own response.
One of the things we teach our interpreters is that everything said in the interpreting session must be interpreted to both parties. This includes any side conversations, phone calls and announcements. The interpreter will not take part in the conversation including acting as a cultural guide.
Take a look at our video below of a scenario of when everything must be interpreted.
Stay updated with what we’re doing on our Facebook & Twitter as we’ll be posting more tips about interpreting and what to expect during an interpreting session on our blog!
